Zirocco Blue is a sire who has it all. A pedigree in a class of its own, via Mr. Blue, Voltaire and Le tot de Semilly in combination with the successful dams Licorne des Fortes and Gekas des Fortes.
A sporting achievement of superlatives, Zirocco Blue was able to win Grand Prix at 5* level, such as in Rotterdam, Oslo, Geesteren, Copenhagen and Melsomvik. He placed in the top ranks in the Grand Prix in Hickstead, Rome, Las Vegas, Barcelona, Aachen and Helsinki.
At the 2015 European Championships in Aachen, he won the gold medal with the Dutch team and took fifth place in the individual classification.
His offspring are characterized by size, type and a strong, firm back. The practical canter that he passes on to his offspring and the powerful footing at the jump make course riding a pleasure.
Despite his active sport career, he has already produced over 60 offspring who are successful in international Grand Prix competitions. Among others: Eddie Blue, who is successful at 1.60 level under Devin Ryan and was voted the best show jumper in the USA, Zuccero, who won team gold at the 2023 European Championships under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Elysium, who recorded victories and placings at 5* level with Hans-Dieter Dreher.
More than 30 of his sons have been licensed throughout Europe.
