Glasgow van 't Merelsnest caused a sensation in 2017 with victories in the Nations Cups in Barcelona and Falsterbo, the Grand Prix in Rome and the World Cup in Helsinki. In 2018, he was able to travel to the World Equestrian Games in Tryon with the Dutch team under his rider Jur Vrieling.
The wealthy black stallion has an exquisite pedigree.
Father Nabab de Rêve and grandfather Darco both had successful sporting careers in Grand Prix competitions, including the World Cup and World Championships.
The dam Wendelina van 't Merelsnest was successful at 1.50 level with Marc van Dijck. Her full sister is none other than the phenomenal Sapphire, who won two Olympic gold medals with the US team, as well as many Grand Prix prizes, including in Calgary (CAN) and Wellington (USA).
Another full brother, Qarco van 't Merelsnest, is also successful in 1.60 jumping competitions. Two full brothers to Glasgow van 't Merelsnest have also enjoyed international success.
Glasgow's offspring are large-framed, have a correct foundation and plenty of power in the back. The first offspring have already established themselves in the sport up to advanced level and have achieved international success at 1.60 level. In terms of basic gaits, the generous canter is particularly noteworthy.
