Chacco Blue, already a legend, the son of Chambertin caused a sensation in sport with his 3rd place in the Grand Prix of Aachen. Deceased far too early, he is now setting a monument to himself as one of the leading show jumper sires on the WBFSH list.
The dam Cella topped the WBFSH list of the most successful show jumpers in the world in 2013. In addition to the numerous Grand Prix that Cella won under Ben Maher, the Vice European Champion title is one of this pair's most outstanding results. Winning the Prize of Europe in Aachen was also one of the highlights of their career. Ben Maher describes his Cella as “a real fighter who was unbeatable when she was in a good mood”.
The dam's sire Dobel's Cento by Capitol I is one of the most famous heroes of German show jumping, he won the Grand Prix of Aachen under Otto Becker in 2000, became European Champion and Olympic Champion with the German team.
The granddam of Chicago Blue is also a celebrity, Usha van't Roosakker. The mare, who was successful in 1.50 jumping competitions under Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, is the line founder of the globally coveted “Roosakker” line.
The MMV is the Holstein stallion Chin Chin, who took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul and finished fifth in the individual final. Today, he is particularly notable as the dam's sire of many highly successful show jumpers.
Chicago Blue is a large-framed stallion with an uphill neck, stable topline and correct foundation. His basic gaits are elastic and equipped with sufficient scope.
In free jumping, he impresses with his endless scope and very good bascule, which he has also demonstrated under saddle, scoring an 8.4 in his jumping test.
Still very young and tall, Chicago Blue can convince in his daily work with a high willingness to perform, a very good temperament and yet with the necessary shot of blood.
