Diamant van Klapscheut is an exceptionally athletic stallion. He is equipped with extraordinary reflexes over jumps and an outstanding rideability. He impresses with a sensational front leg, excellent form, and tremendous caution over jumps.
He was able to win show jumping competitions from class A to M in series. At the World Championship for 5-year-old show jumpers in Lanaken, he qualified for the finals with two outstanding clear rounds. At the age of 6, he also achieved international success in the Youngster Tour. Last year, as a 7-year-old, he successfully continued in the higher classes, earning placements in the Youngster Tour at events such as the CSI4* tournament at Hof Waterkant, the CSI2* tournament in Lastrup Klain Roscharden, and the CSI2* in Kronenberg.
These characteristics are firmly anchored in his dam line, which couldn't be better: Dam Koriana van Klapscheut by Cicero van Pamel Z was herself successful as a young horse in international show jumping up to 1.40 m under Arnaud Gaublomme. Her first offspring are already causing a sensation; Orlando van Klapscheut has achieved placings in 1.50 m show jumping under Jelmer Hoekstra, as has Carlo van Klapscheut, who is a year younger; he is also impressive at 1.50 m level under Thibeau Spits.
The grandmother Coriana van Klapscheut by Darco, a phenomenon: She herself jumped with Eric Lamaze and Pilar Cordon to victories and placings at 1.60 m level at 5* tournaments in Spruce Meadows, Verona, Lummen, Aachen, Wellington, Gijon and many more. She gave birth to the 2017 World Champion of 7-year-old show jumping horses, Koriano van Klapscheut by Lord Z, who is now successful in 1.60 m show jumping, as well as other offspring who are successful at 1.60 m level.
Great-grandmother Uriana van Klapscheut v. Heartbreaker also jumped internationally at 1.50 m level and, as the founder of the line, produced numerous offspring and grandchildren who are successful at 1.60 m level.
Father Diamant de Semilly himself competed successfully at the highest international level under Eric Levallois for many years. He is currently second in the WBFSH ranking of the most successful show jumping stallions. Dam's sire Cicero van Pamel is also very interesting from a breeding perspective: this Carthago son is also at the top of the WBFSH ranking and can look back on a successful career at 1.60 level under Dirk Demeersman.
MM's father, the legendary and well-known Darco, is one of the best-known show jumping sires in the world. He himself participated in European, World Championships and the Olympic Games, and left behind a number of offspring that dominate top-level sport at 1.60m level.
Diamant van Klapscheut's first offspring are 4 years old this year. Clearly characterized by the self-confidence of their father, they show a high level of willingness to perform, as well as instinct and quick reflexes when jumping.
