Darco, who was internationally successful under Ludo Philippaerts, including at the Olympic Games, also makes a significant contribution to Jasper's impressive lineage. Under his rider Kent Farrington, Jasper was successful at 5* level and was able to record victories and placings at renowned tournaments such as Spruce Meadows, Valkenswaard, Berlin, Tryon and Samorin.

Jasper is by no means a product of chance; rather, his extraordinary hereditary power is also evident in his mother, who is a full sister to two internationally successful sport horses. In addition to Jasper, she also produced Figaro van't Gestelhof and Orcado Van't Gestelhof, who were successful in the 1.50-meter show jumping.
