Greya, the dam of Chin Grey, victorious once again in a 5* Grand Prix
The exceptional mare Greya, mother of our resident stallion Chin Grey, continues to make waves on the international stage. Just recently, she celebrated another triumph under Kent Farrington: in the 5* Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva, the pair secured victory with an outstanding performance and a fast, faultless jump-off round.
This triumph seamlessly adds to an impressive series of successes. Just this year alone, Greya has won a total of seven Grand Prix: six 5* Grand Prix and one 4* Grand Prix. This makes her the horse with the most Grand Prix victories within a single year in the history of show jumping.
Kent Farrington describes Greya as a “unique horse,” admired for her incredible consistency and extraordinary ambition—qualities that distinguish her not only in sport but also as a broodmare.
Greya passes this quality on to her offspring as well. Her son, Chin Grey v. Chinchero, recently completed his 50-day test with flying colors, confirming the high expectations placed on him. His sporting talent, combined with an excellent temperament, points to a very promising future both in sport and breeding.
Offspring of Our Stallions Qualified for the Bundeschampionat 2025
The Bundeschampionat 2025 is just around the corner – and we are delighted that once again, numerous offspring of our stallions have made the list of qualified 5- and 6-year-old show jumpers as well as competitors in the eventing division. In total, 36 offspring of our stallions have successfully qualified.
Colman (Carthago/Lord) is particularly well represented, with 15 qualified offspring and an additional nine appearances as a damsire. Ogano Sitte (Darco/Avontuur) also stands out with 7 qualified offspring. Zirocco Blue (Mr. Blue/Voltaire) has 2 qualified offspring and is additionally present twice as a damsire.
A special highlight: both Cornet’s Quaprice (Cornet Obolensky/Quaprice Bois Margot) and For Treasure VDL (For Pleasure/Carthago) are already represented at the Bundeschampionat with offspring from their first crop.
Furthermore, we are pleased to see qualified offspring from Glasgow van’t Merelsnest (Nabab de Rêve/Darco), Origi d’O (Diamant de Semilly/Toulon), Jaloubet K VDL (Baloubet du Rouet/Jaloubet), and Quickthago VDL (Quickly de Kreisker/Numero Uno).
