Zirocco Blue is a sire who has it all: an exceptional pedigree combining Mr. Blue, Voltaire, and Le Tot de Semilly, together with the proven performance lines of his dams Licorne des Fortes and Gekas des Fortes.
His sporting record speaks for itself. Zirocco Blue won five-star Grands Prix in Rotterdam, Oslo, Geesteren, Copenhagen, and Melsomvik, among others. He also achieved multiple top placings in the Grands Prix of Hickstead, Rome, Las Vegas, Barcelona, Aachen, and Helsinki.
At the 2015 European Championships in Aachen, he won the team gold medal with the Dutch team and finished fifth in the individual competition.
His offspring impress with their size, type, and strong, solid backs. The practical canter and powerful push-off over fences that he consistently passes on make them pleasant and willing partners in the arena.
Despite his active sporting career, Zirocco Blue has already produced more than 300 internationally successful offspring competing at levels from 1.45 m to 1.60 m. Among them are Eddie Blue, Elysium, and Glamour Girl, each of whom has achieved lifetime earnings of more than one million euros.
With Zuccero and Jaguar King WD, Zirocco Blue was represented by two horses at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
More than 40 of his sons have been licensed across Europe.
