BREEDER
Jimmy Vermeulen,
With Uncle Joe van’t Meulenhof, we are delighted to offer our breeders a truly exceptional stallion.
His sire, Libero H, is a legend both in show jumping and in breeding. He has proven himself as a top sire of show jumpers. Under Jos Lansink, the son of Landgraf I won an impressive series of World Cup competitions and Grands Prix. The highlight of his career was his commanding victory in the 1994 World Cup Final.
His dam, Carthina, was herself successful in show jumping up to 1.40 m level and produced one of the most prominent sport stallions of our time: Emerald van’t Ruytershof. In addition, she can boast eleven further offspring that have achieved success in international sport.
At his licensing and stallion performance test with the BWP, Uncle Joe van’t Meulenhof was described as follows:
“An athletic stallion with good substance, a very well-shaped neck, and an expressive face. He has a correct foundation with good feet. He trots with a closed frame and good impulsion. His canter is ground-covering and well balanced.
Under saddle, he made an excellent impression on the test riders.
When jumping under saddle, he is very attentive. His leg technique and use of his body are clearly very good. He demonstrates tremendous scope.”
We can only confirm this impression: a powerhouse with exceptional character, strong-minded, full of go, and yet consistently convincing with the highest levels of rideability.
Uncle Joe can look back on an outstanding first competition season in Germany. As a serial winner in young horse show-jumping classes from Class A through M, combined with a successful international debut in Lier, he has underlined his exceptional talent.
Uncle Joe van’t Meulenhof is an absolute rarity: one of the last representatives of the highly significant L-line, combined with one of the finest mares in the world.
